(KNSI) — The Cold Spring City Council is scheduled to hold a special meeting Monday afternoon at 4:30 p.m.
On the agenda is a discussion with the City of Richmond to pursue the joint policing agreement and an update on the search for a new administrator and whether Cold Spring will use David Drown Associates or another recruitment firm from executives to help find a replacement. Brigid Murphy is stepping down after six years in the role. His last day is August 25.
The group will also examine a study conducted on the remuneration of municipal employees. Cold Spring is seeking to adopt a new pay and benefits scale after consulting with several other cities in the area.
The expected overall budgetary impact will be a 1.25% increase in salary expenditure. Salary should be set within a range, influenced by position and years of experience. No employees are currently being paid below the new minimum wage, but four are being paid above the potential maximum wage.
The board will decide whether to adopt salary adjustments immediately or to introduce changes gradually over a longer period.
