A non-fatal stab wound happened on Sunday evening. Also, a attic fire moved two residents from an apartment building. Finally, that crane which is in the middle of Ximeno will probably stay there until July.

  1. Sunday evening around 9:35 p.m., the LBPD responded to the 5900 Block of East Spring Street. There were reports of a stab. “The victim said he was near the area when he entered a verbal argument with an adult male suspects that intensified stabbing.” The suspect fled. (LBPD)
  2. Earlier that day, at 1 p.m., there was a attic fire in an apartment complex on the 2600 block of 55th Way. At that time, firefighters “found that a nearby transformer had failedand the power lines had fallen on the roof building.” Although the fire was extinguished within 10 minutes, two residents were moved.   3. Update: On May 13, we talked about the chasm that formed “in an alley east of Long Beach Ximeno Avenue and 7th Street. “LA County Sanitation fixed it on May 18. On May 23, crews returned, placed a 40 foot crane on Ximeno, and could be there until some time in July.
